Finding out what you love to do

For a long time I absolutely had no idea what I wanted in my life, who I wanted to become, etc. Now I do know it and I thought about four steps that can help you finding out what you love to do. My life has become 'easier' since I know in what direction I want to go so I hope that I can help you.

What do I dream to be in five years?
Start thinking about your ideal life. Where do you want to live? What kind of people will surround you? Think about the choices you have to make and what they will mean for you and your future. Think about the perfect situation, make a visual board and play with it.

Study about what you would like to do

When you know more about your ideal life, investigate what careers are available. Pick out a few different functions that might suit you. Search for more information or tutorials and talk to someone who already has the job you're after.

Start by doing it without worrying about money
Sometimes you have to start like this. You have to focus on your goal and not about money, this is probably the hardest one because everything is about money nowadays. Keep it in mind but put your main focus on your goal. You can look for freelance jobs online in order to make a portfolio or to make experiences.

Start with little things
There will be things at the beginning that you will have to do, that may not be your favorite, to get into the work force. Sometimes you'll have to work for little or no money but it will be worth it.

  1. I'm still in the process of thinking about what I want to do or where I see myself in 5 years. I hope that sitting down and actually taking time to focus on where I want to be in life it will help. Love the visual board idea.

  2. Good to consider. Lack of money can make you reluctant to ponder on your future, so taking this out of the equation our dreams can be magical. I want to live in Lincoln in 5 years time :) Great post, I enjoyed reading this.

  3. Right! I have a steadfast faith in God and then I just take everything one step at a time and constantly remind myself to believe in myself. If they can, I definitely can!
