How to recharge yourself in one day

26 July 2017
I often have periods where I work a lot and don't have enough sleep. After such a period I feel so tired and my body warns me that I need a break.

But it's not always possible to take a two week break in the near future. Your body tells you to recharge but you only have one day? Well, it's possible. Last week I took a day off to have a break, a 24 hour break. It doesn't look so much but it felt like I've been away for a week!

The most important thing of your one day break is sleep. You need sleep to recharge your body and to put your energy on a higher level. Don't set an alarm and don't look too much on your phone. Put some nice pyjama's on where you feel super comfortable and cosy in, it helps yo have a good night's rest.

I also go outside for a long walk. Fresh air gives me such an energy boost! It also pulls you away from your technology and disconnects you from your normal routine, which is helpful to think about everything.

Make some good food and drinks that gives you energy. Make things that you really love and that makes you feel excited.
These are things that are possible to do in 24 hours and that definitely work for me. It's so important to feel good in order to be productive in a healthy way. I hope this can help some of you.

  1. I must admit I do find it hard to relax and always feel the need to do something. A pj's day is what I need.

  4. Going on walks is so underrated! I do this a lot when I'm off at college and it calms me down so much.
