Dealing with other people's opinions

Whether you like it or not, people will always have an opinion. The hardest part is to deal with it and how hard you'll let it affect you. It's still something which I'm struggling with today but I realize it now so I can work on it.


The thing that I've learned is that you can't control other people's opinions, only your own. And you have to realize that there will always be people who will judge you or will speak out their mind. You have the choice to let these opinions affect in a bad way, or to use this as a motivation.

Most of the people who are talking negative about or to you, are mostly people who are feeling that way about themselves. When you start to realize this, you can see some things in perspective. a lot of people are negative towards you because they see something in you that they wish they could have. They feel a lack within themselves. This can be about happiness, succes, confidence,..

When it comes to family or friends, it's hard take negativity from them. Especially when you are excited about something, or you just want someone to talk to. And it's not pleasant when they react to you in a way like you're doing a bad job or that they don't agree with the choices you've made.

Listen to constructive criticism and advice, because this will allow you to grow. But when they are just saying things to pull you down, learn to block it.

There comes a point where you have to start believing in yourself. Where you know what's best for you. When you have a low self-esteem and people talk negative towards you, you're going to believe it. But when you are confident and when you do believe in yourself and your goals, that negative comments will not get to you. Creating self-awareness is so important so you know what your capable of, your strengths and weaknesses. So this can not be used against you.

Nobody will ever be able to know you better than you know you.
