How do I plan a productive day

I've started planning my days since I went to high school. There were so many tasks that needed to be done so I really had to create a structure for myself to become more organized. There are endless possibilities to plan, but I will talk about the methods that works best for me.

The hardest part of planning is to make it realistic. I remember planning so much things to do in one day that I just couldn't get it done, and I felt really disappointed in myself. When you start your day in a productive way, you don't want to feel bad at the end of the day because you weren't able to achieve everything that was on your planning. You have to feel motivated to start the next day.

The method that works best for me is to make a list first with all the things that I need to do that week or month. Then I prioritize: what is the most important thing that I have to do, and so on. When you wrote all these things down, it's time to separate them in seven days (or more when you want to do it monthly). Make sure that you write down the most important thing first and then plan from there. Plan smart, make it in a way so you won't feel exhausted at the end of the day. Make it in a way so you feel satisfied each day when you achieved all the tasks you've planned.

There are two ways of planning that works best for me:

Bullet Journalling
I'm someone who loves being creative, who collects way too many magazines to make collages. So when I discovered bullet journalling, it was like finding 'the perfect solution'. The only disadvantage I found out was that it takes a lot of time. And because I'm a real perfectionist, I have to take my time for doing these kind of things. So since I started working fulltime again, this way of planning wasn't working so good anymore.

Make Things Happen (Career Girl Daily)
This is the planner I'm currently using. I discovered this planner through Instagram, and it was probably the best purchase I could've done. The best thing about this planner is that there is a lot of space, there are two pages for each day. It gives you the opportunity to write down everything that needs to be done, you can write down your meal plan, your expenses, some personal things, etc. And there is still room enough for some creativity.
You can buy this planner here.

Like I've said at the beginning of this blogpost, there are endless ways of planning. It took me a few years, and a lot of methods, before I knew what works best for me. And I'm still discovering new methods.
