Bad habits we need to break in 2019

Happy new year everyone! Let's start this new year with a blogpost about the bad habits we should leave behind us.

Hanging in the past
Move forward. There's no need to keep repeating the past or to feel bad about it. If something happened in the past, learn from it and go on from there. It's a brand new year, a year with new chances and possibilities.

Comparing yourself/your life to others
We all know how amazing some people's life seem on Instagram etc, how perfect it is and how we wish we had that life. Try to keep in mind that you can't see someone's real life on social media, it isn't always as perfect as it seems to be. And always remember that you are who you are, and you're the one who's creating your own life.

Always wanting to please others
Sometimes we all need to be a little selfish. It's good to help others but it's also ok to say 'No'.

Why putting energy in judging other people? We all have our own opinion on everything, but it's not always worth the energy to put it out there. Also remember that the biggest reason why people judge, is because they are actually jealous.

Feeling sorry for yourself
You can spend hours, days or even weeks on feeling sorry for yourself. But the fact is that you're the one who can change this. You have the power of your life, so put yourself together and work on it.

Forgetting to be grateful
This is something I think is very important. There are thousands of things to be grateful for, big things and small things, so let's take some time every day to think about how good your life actually is.

Not believing in yourself
Something I need to work on every single day. This is the thing on top of every list if you want to be successful or if you want to be truly happy. And the truth is: if you're not believing in yourself, no one ever will.

Depending on others to feel happy
You have to be able to create your own happiness. If you can't do this and keep depending on others to feel that way, you'll never experience true happiness.

Caring about others opinions
Let's be honest; We all need that 'don't give a sh*t' attitude once in a while.

Not being yourself
What defines you? What makes you the person who you are? What are your qualities? What are your working points? Everyone can answer these questions and it will all be different from the other ones. Embrace yourself.
